WHO ARE WE AND WHY DID WE CHOOSE ROTTWEILERS AS A FAMILY PET ALSO TO SHOW AND BREED FROM
We both have stories to tell about how we first came into contact with such a wonderful breed.
We have both individually owned Rottweilers. I (Peggy) owned by first Rottweiler when I lived in Western Australia,
way back in 1987. I had been brought up with Labradors and Goldern Retrievers, which we would all agree are a great
family pet. Well I got my first Rottweiler when I lived in the outback of Western Australia. I missed having a
Dog so much, I saw Rottweiler puppies advertised with papers. So I pounced on it straight away. She was the only
one left, she was the runt. I fell in love with her straight away. This dog became my best friend, we did everything
together, swimming, oyster collecting, fishing, walking, you name it. I found her personality to be as good if not better
than the precious pets I had been brought up with. I will always miss her and feel like she is the best dog that
ever lived. In saying that, I have found they are all individuals and think differently just like people, they all bring
something different into our lives.
